We’re on a journey
to be one of the most
sustainable and
responsible transportation
logistics companies –

Our values of trust, respect and integrity extend beyond our people and customers to how we treat our planet and the communities where we do business.

At Green, we are committed to promoting the human rights and wellness of our employees, customers and supply chain partners and advancing sustainability across our operations. We believe the business practices of the past are not effective enough to achieve the transformational environmental and social change our world needs today.

AND THAT CHANGE STARTS WITH US

We’re embarking on an ambitious journey to tackle some of the world’s most pressing environmental and human rights issues in transportation
and logistics.

BUT WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE

We’re working in collaboration with stakeholders throughout our supply chain, industry, and business operations.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING

Green Worldwide Shipping, Sustainability Report, Emissions, Scope 1, Scope 2, Scope 3, Thomas Jorgensen, Greg Bollefer, GreenCheck, ESG, GHG

OUR MATERIAL TOPICS

After conducting a double materiality assessment, we identified eight topics that reflect a significant impact on Green’s economic value, operational stability, or reputation; were most important or concerning to Green’s employees, customers, and overseas agents; and/or represent a significant risk or opportunity to businesses in the T&L industry.

While Green Worldwide has always been a company with a sustainability mission and vision, we are proud of the commitments we’ve made in the past year that will help us make progress on this tremendous goal. It has been an effort of passion by an incredibly talented group of supply chain professionals.

People will always be the driving force of innovation and I believe we have the best.

THOMAS JORGENSEN

It is fundamental at Green to act with a sense of urgency on our material topics –

    SMART FREIGHT CENTRE

Green is a proud member of the Smart Freight Centre (SFC), a globally active non-profit organization for climate action in the freight sector, actively participating in three transportation & logistics programs:

    GLOBAL LOGISTICS EMISSIONS COUNCIL (GLEC)
    CLEAN CARGO
    CLEAN AIR TRANSPORT

    ZERO-EMISSION MARITIME BUYERS ALLIANCE (ZEMBA)

Green joins a consortium of over 20 companies, including giants like Amazon, Electrolux Group, IKEA, and Patagonia, on a mission to accelerate the commercial deployment of zero-emission shipping services, cultivate a competitive market for these services, and combat carbon emissions. ZEMBA’s ambitious goal is to achieve a minimum 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional fossil fuels on a lifecycle basis.

    SMARTWAY® TRANSPORT PARTNERSHIP

Launched in 2004, the SmartWay Transport Partnership program provides tools and approaches for freight shippers, carriers, logistics companies, and other stakeholders to measure, benchmark, and improve supply chain transportation operations to reduce their environmental footprint.

Along with thousands of other SmartWay partners, Green is committed to improving freight efficiency and its environmental impacts worldwide. For more information about the SmartWay Transport Partnership, visit www.epa.gov/smartway.

TAT (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS TRUCKERS AGAINST TRAFFICKING)

Established in 2009, TAT started with a simple yet powerful belief: that every truck driver can be a crucial ally in the fight against human trafficking. Since then, TAT has grown to encompass a greater portion of the transportation industry, forming deep alliances to maximize collective effort through programs that include innovative training, partnerships with law enforcement and advocacy efforts. Using targeted systems change as their model, they’ve raised awareness about trafficking, who it targets and its signs, and equipped individuals to take action whenever their lives intersect with it and its victims.

Green is proud to be a Bronze-level sponsor of TAT.

    TRUCKERS AGAINST TRAFFICKING (TAT)

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) is a 501(c)3 that exists to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the trucking, bus and energy industries to combat human trafficking.  Through the program, TAT saturates trucking and related industries with trafficking information materials, partners with law enforcement and government agencies to facilitate the investigation of human trafficking and marshals the resources of partners to combat this crime.

Green is proud to be a Bronze-level sponsor of Truckers Against Trafficking.
