Hurricane Florence Starts Off Holiday Storms

Scheduled to hit late Thursday night, Hurricane Florence is expected to impact the Carolinas and Virginia into early Friday this week. The Category 4 hurricane has prompted state officials to announce mandatory evacuation orders for residents and businesses located on the coast.

Due to Hurricane Florence, the following ports have announced schedule changes:

  • Wilmington, NC:  Open until 7:00 pm for pickup & drop-off. Wilmington’s General Cargo gate & Port of Morehead City gate are operating on normal schedule. The status is expected to change by the end of the day.
  • Charleston, SC: Operating under normal operating hours at all facilities. The status is expected to change by the end of the day.
  • Virginia: All truck gates will close according to posted hours (business as usual at all Port of Virginia terminals) and terminal activities will end at 11:59PM, Tuesday, September 11th.
