GREEN WORLDWIDE RELEASES 2023 Q1 TREES DONATIONS IMPACT

Green Worldwide Shipping^®  is moving the sustainable supply chain forward by promoting eco-friendly practices within the logistics industry. As part of Green’s ongoing commitment to mitigating climate change, the freight forwarder releases their 2023 Q1 donation to Trees for the Future (TREES). Green Worldwide, firmly believes that reforestation plays a pivotal role in combating climate change, enhancing biodiversity, and uplifting communities across the globe.

Recognizing the important role TREES plays in these endeavors, Green Worldwide launched the Green Tree Initiative in 2019 to create a greener future. Trees.org is a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering farmers, restoring landscapes, and building sustainable agroforestry systems.

GREEN WORLDWIDE’S 2023 Q1 TREES DONATIONS IMPACT

Green Worldwide donated 20,000 trees in 2023 Q1 bringing the company’s total trees donated to 470,000 since the beginning of the Green Trees Program. Green Worldwide’s donated trees sequestered nearly 4,014,600+ pounds of carbon – capturing or absorbing carbon through trees and plant life. In partnership with TREES, the Green Tree Program provides agroforestry training and additional resources to rural farmers offers underserved, rural farmers receive sustainable agroforestry training and resources enabling them to provide for themselves and develop economic stability.

In partnership with TREES, Green Worldwide’s donations directly impact:

1. Reforestation: The funds directly contribute to the planting of trees in areas affected by deforestation, helping to restore ecosystems and sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
2. Sustainable Livelihoods: The donation supports TREES’s efforts to provide training, resources, and support to local farmers, enabling them to adopt sustainable agroforestry practices, enhance their productivity, and improve their standard of living.
3. Community Empowerment: TREES actively engages with local communities, promoting gender equality and empowering women. Green Worldwide’s donation will help foster social and economic development, enhancing the well-being of individuals and communities in the regions where TREES operates.
