GREEN STEERS THE WAY FOR CORVETTE CLEARANCE
INDUSTRY: AUTO & PARTS
MODE OF TRANSPORT: OCEAN IMPORT & EXPORT
ROUTE: GERMANY TO INDIANAPOLIS, IN
DATE: JUNE 2017
THE CLIENT
German-based owners of two historical 1965 and 1966 model Corvettes.
THE CHALLENGE
To successfully coordinate the transportation of two vehicles to an event without damaging or delaying valuable cargo.
THE SERVICE
Green Worldwide Shipping was contacted to assist in the import of two classic Corvettes. The vehicles were scheduled to be part of the world’s longest running Corvette show, the Bloomington Gold, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and needed to be handled with the utmost care and supervision. On May 28th, the cars were loaded inside a container where they would be later cleared through Customs under Carnet. After arrival of the shipment, the Corvettes were inspected by Green freight experts and transported via a specialty car carrier to the event.
THE RESULT
On June 21st, the 1965 and 1966 models arrived without any issue to the 45th annual Bloomington Gold Corvette Show. They were put on display for over 30,000 people to admire and then later transported back to Green’s warehouse where they were re-inspected and loaded up for their journey back to Germany.
At Green Worldwide Shipping we believe in going above and beyond for our clients because that’s the Green Way– and how we keep delivering exceptional shipping experiences for every customer, every shipment, every time.
