Green Worldwide Shipping®, a top provider of international freight forwarding and supply chain management solutions, congratulates Katarina Moellering Baratas on completing her first rotation of four, in the Company’s two-year development program, the Green Academy.

“Working with Katarina was great, and she will be missed as a part of the AR (accounts receivable) team,” says Accounts Receivable Team Lead, Andrew Furtick. “I could always tell she was hungry to know more as she asked questions and took constructive criticism well. She is one of the happiest people in the office too! I look forward to seeing her complete the apprenticeship.”

Designed to emulate a traditional European apprenticeship, the Green Academy program focuses on development opportunities across Green Worldwide Shipping’s business segments. Each six-month rotation provides trainees with a full range of experience to build new skills and advance their supply chain careers.

Katarina began her journey with Green’s Accounting team on April 1st, where she was given the opportunity to learn about international shipping from the financial side of the business. Moving into her second rotation, import business operations, Baratas feels she has been able to build on the skills and knowledge she gained in accounting to better understand the industry and prepare her for more ambitious tasks.

“I am very grateful for the training I received in the Accounting department as it has allowed me to confidently take the next step forward. Now, working with our import specialists, I have begun to take on new responsibilities, all focused on serving our customers!” Katarina Moellering Baratas.
