CBP Forced Labor Benefits Added to CTPAT Trade Compliance Program

CBP FORCED LABOR BENEFITS ADDED TO CTPAT TRADE COMPLIANCE PROGRAM

Effective November 18, the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) offers new forced labor benefits to its CTPAT Trade Compliance partners (Partners).

“[We are] excited to announce the addition of three benefits for its Partners,” said Manuel Garza, Jr., Director CTPAT Office of Field Operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “These benefits are provided in exchange for compliance with the recently updated Trade Compliance program forced labor requirements.”

*NOTE: The importer must assert that they are an active member in the CTPAT Trade Compliance program and request a prioritized review at the time supporting documentation is submitted to CBP. Upon receipt, the Center should prioritize the processing of the package over non-CTPAT Trade Compliance partner packages received within the Center.
