An apparel company located in California, United States.

THE CHALLENGE

To intercept and minimize delay of an urgent shipment for a portion of the cargo to be express shipped to the client’s client.

THE SERVICE

Green Worldwide Shipping was initially contacted to act solely as the Customs broker for a client’s airfreight shipment routed by their Indian supplier.  A Green freight expert noticed a booking/routing error made by the Shipper’s agent at origin and contacted the customer.  The Shipper had arranged for the freight to land at San Francisco Airport before being trucked to the final delivery in Los Angeles.  Fearing a severe delay of the routing, the client requested to extract several cartons of product for a time-critical deadline and Green stepped in to organize special pick-up.

THE RESULTS

Understanding the client’s urgency, Green freight experts jumped into action, pre-clearing the freight through Customs and making special arrangements for the customer to meet with the trucker at a designated container freight station (CFS) and retrieve time-critical products to overnight before the shipment delivered in Los Angeles.
