Energiewende – Germany’s Energy Transition, a touring exhibition of Germany’s efforts to convert to a fully renewable energy supply by 2050, opened at Miami Dade College on July 7.

Since adopting the Energy Concept in 2010, Germany’s energy transition is an ambitious plan to transition the country into a low-carbon, environmentally sound, reliable and affordable energy supply.  Launched in 2016, Energiewende is a traveling exhibition that educates the international community about the complexities of the extensive project.  Hosted by the German Embassy, the tour has made stops in Hong Kong, Islamabad, Geneva, New York, and most recently Miami.

Echoing support for energy sustainability, Green Worldwide Shipping, a leader of international logistics and Customs brokerage, jumped at the chance to help.  Green Worldwide was selected to handle the dismantling and transportation of the exhibition from its previous home at Tampa’s Museum of Science and Industry to the debut at Miami Dade College and was honored to participate in the opening ceremony, led by German Consul General, Annette Klein.  Green will also be assisting Energiewende as it is exported to Trinidad & Tobago for the next leg of the tour.

Green Worldwide Shipping believes in sustainable business practices that minimize the impact on the environment and preserve it for generations to come.  As an important player in international logistics, Green is committed to seeking out and implementing innovative and eco-friendly transportation solutions.
