Beginning June 1st, 2018, Chinese Customs has announced the launch of a new manifest initiative to expedite clearance procedures for both import and export, air and ocean cargoes.  An electronic submission will be required 24 hours prior to loading at the port of export, as reflected on the bill of lading.  The manifest requires both the Shipper and Consignee to include a standardized company enterprise code, such as:

CHINA – Unified Social Credit Identifier (USCI) or Organization Code (OC)
UNITED KINGDOM – VAT Identifier or Company Registration Number
UNITED STATES – Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Central Index Key (CIK)

Consignees should provide the required identification to shippers and manufacturers in their supply chain to expedite the export process.

Green Worldwide Shipping is working closely with our partner network to ensure a seamless adoption of these new advanced manifest requirements.  For more information, feel free to contact our Vice President, Compliance, Rex Sherman, CHB at [email protected].
